Ring-a-lings

This is our second recipe in the "Grandma's Recipes" series.  From Grandma Ruth's box...GranE remembers it fondly.  We'll see if I got it right.

Ingredients.
For the filling

After mixing - it was really stiff filling

G3 decided to come in from playing to help

The filling was really hard to spread

Some of my one inch strips
Twisted and ready to bake - made two 1/2 sheet pans

After the first 15 min

After the orange glaze - ready for the last five min of baking
Can you just smell how wonderful our house smells right now...

Sticky goodness...all done....
G3 - deems Ring-a-ling a success

  1. They should be in the shape of a wreath. Licking the pan is the best part. G1

  2. The ring-a-lings were great and as I remembered but were a bit tougt the next day. Probably something I would not have known as they rarely lasted more than a day when I was growing up. G1
